Déjà Vu! Simon Cowell Stops This 12-Year-Old's Performance and Asks Her to Sing Without Music

Ansley Burns may only be 12 years old, but she must have the patience of a wise old woman after dealing with Simon Cowell's challenges on America's Got Talent. The pre-teen from South Carolina went viral earlier this year when her initial audition took a turn, and on Tuesday night history repeated itself as Cowell once again stopped her mid-performance.

During auditions, Cowell stopped Burns midway through her rendition of Aretha Franklin's "Think" to critique her backing track. He asked her to try singing a capella, a challenge she took in stride despite being put on the spot. Her stripped-down performance earned her the praise of not only Cowell but his fellow judges Julianne Hough, Howie Mandel, and Gabrielle Union, as well.

Fast-forward to the judge cuts, and Burns must've been feeling déjà vu. Her performance of Carrie Underwood's "Good Girl" appeared to be going well until Cowell stopped the track and asked her to sing without music. Burns stepped up to the plate and delivered another powerful cover all on her own. Despite positive comments from the judges, Burns sadly didn't make it past this round but her performance is still worth watching. We haven't seen the last of her yet!
